Company HistoryOrchid Rain Orchid Rain is a full service salon and spa located in Lacombe, Alberta. Founded by Robyn Shackleton in 2005, the business has grown to include 3 technicians and a natural body care line. The salon offers professional hair care services from cuts and colors, to perms and extensions. Our esthetician provides waxing, manicures & pedicures and gel nail services, In our spa be treated to relaxing massage, hot stone and raindrop therapy, and infared sauna sessions. We also provide spray tanning sessions for those who want a sunkissed look without the risk of skin damage from the sun Our all natural body care products are manufactured with
care on site using only the purest & healthiest ingredients. We
source our essential oils and organic ingredients from local producers
or import them from ethically & environmentally friendly manufacturers.
We strive to provide handmade herbal formulas for glowing skin and a

Robyn is a dynamic and energetic entrepreneur. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a part of the beauty industry. She got started right away after high school, enrolling in Hair Design at Marvel College and completing training in Hair Extensions while apprenticing for her hair design certification. She started working full time as a Hair Stylist and at the same time completed 2200 hours. of Registered Massage Therapy training. To further enhance her massage skills, she sought training in Rain Drop Therapy & Lava Stone Massage. Somehow she also managed to squeeze in training as a Nail Technician. In 2005, she purchased a local business which manufactured natural body care products. She immediately got the idea to start her own spa and salon selling these products and offering an array of beauty and spa services. It was a perfect blend of her training, experience and passion for health and well-being. She believes that it is important for a business owner and employer to have a diverse background knowledge in their industry. Robyn certainly fits this criteria, and has assembled a skilled group of professionals to provide the salon and spa services at Orchid Rain. The body care products are made on site from the best organic and local ingredients, and she is constantly developing new products to better suit her customer's needs. Robyn not only has a satisfying career in the beauty industry, she is also married to her High School sweet heart, and is enjoying the experience of being a mother.
