Orchid Rain

The owner & staff of Orchid Rain are dedicated to creating and providing a customer first environment. We want to exceed your expectations in both product quality & service. Thus producing results to provide you, our valued guest with the Ultimate Salon & Spa experience.

Orchid Rain is a full service salon and spa located in Lacombe, Alberta, awarded '2009 Rookie Business of the Year.

Founded by Robyn Shackleton in 2005, the business has grown to include technicians and a natural bath/home/body care lines.

The salon offers professional hair care services from designer cuts to alluering colors, and modern hair extensions. Our dynamic team provide body sugaring, manicures, revitalizing pedicures and gel nail services. In our spa be treated to relaxing muscle therapy, lava stone/ lava shell treatments, raindrop therapy, and infrared sauna sessions. We also provide spray tanning sessions for those who want a sunkissed look without the risk of skin damage

Our all natural bath/body/home care products are manufactured with care on site using only the purest & healthiest ingredients. We also donate the hair we receive while doing haircuts, to an association in the US. This association then sews the hair together to make mats, which are used world wide to soak up oil spills from the ocean :) Please contact us for further details, of this life changing process! We source our essential oils and organic ingredients from local producers or import them from ethically & environmentally friendly manufacturers. About Robyn

Robyn is a dynamic and energetic entrepreneur. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a part of the beauty industry. She got started right away after high school, enrolling in Hair Design at Marvel College and completing training in Hair Extensions while apprenticing for her hair design certification. She started working full time as a Hair Stylist and at the same time completed 2200 hours. of Registered Massage Therapy training. To further enhance her massage skills, she sought training in Rain Drop Therapy & Lava Stone Massage. Somehow she also managed to squeeze in training as a Nail Technician as well.

In 2005, she purchased a local business which manufactured natural body care products. She immediately got the idea to start her own spa and salon selling these products and offering an array of beauty and spa services. It was a perfect blend of her training, experience and passion for health and well-being.

She believes that it is important for a business owner and employer to have a diverse background knowledge in their industry. Robyn certainly fits this criteria, and has assembled a skilled group of professionals to provide the salon and spa services at Orchid Rain. The body care products are made on site from the best organic and local ingredients, and she is constantly developing new products to better suit her customer's needs.

Robyn not only has a satisfying career in the beauty industry, she is also married to her High School sweet heart, and is enjoying the experience of being a mother. She describes her two children as, "My whole world wrapped in two sweet little packages!"
